The opportunity
Cannabis discovery is still fragmented. Consumers want trustworthy information, nearby options, menus, deals, delivery availability, product context, and confidence before they visit or order.
Operators need visibility, control, compliant workflows, better listing quality, promotion tools, and ways to turn discovery into measurable demand.
Discovery-first. Commerce-capable. Compliance-aware.
The product should be useful before it becomes transactional. A strong cannabis platform does not need to force every possible commerce feature into V1.
It needs accurate listings, strong discovery, market trust, operator workflows, compliance gating, and enough product structure to support deeper capabilities later.
What Weedyy includes
Weedyy is designed around consumer discovery, dispensary and delivery browsing, structured listings, menus, deals, route and visit planning, saved intent, operator claiming, admin review queues, market gating, age controls, and future commerce enablement.
The goal is not to copy older cannabis directories. The goal is a modern operating layer for cannabis discovery and demand generation.
The launch strategy: quality over fake scale
A cannabis platform cannot win by pretending every market is ready.
Weedyy prioritizes controlled market readiness, high-signal listings, content quality, operator verification, and operational trust.
The operator layer
For dispensaries and delivery operators, visibility alone is not enough.
They need ways to manage how they appear, what products or menus are shown, what deals are active, what markets they serve, what information needs review, and how discovery connects to customer action.
Built with guardrails, not wishful thinking
Cannabis products require judgment around age gating, market rules, serviceability, advertising restrictions, delivery regulations, transaction flows, and App Store realities.
Weedyy keeps sensitive functionality controlled, gated, and fail-closed so the platform can move quickly without becoming careless.
Reusable infrastructure
The same broad architecture that supports kava discovery can inform cannabis discovery with the right compliance adjustments.
That creates leverage across local discovery, regulated categories, operator activation, and consumer intent.
My role
I helped shape Weedyy across product strategy, launch planning, compliance-aware feature design, operator workflows, admin systems, and cross-surface execution.
My work included consumer discovery strategy, market launch sequencing, operator/admin workflow design, compliance gating logic, feature flags, menu and promotion concepts, route and saved-intent flows, and market readiness planning.
